TAKING ACTION TO REDUCE YOUR RISK OF DEMENTIA
Both the World Health Organisation and the Lancet's Commission on Dementia, Prevention, Intervention and Care have concluded that it is possible to reduce your risk of dementia. The precise size of the risk reduction is not clear but both of these organisations estimate that you can reduce your risk by up to a half, in part by things you can do for yourself, in part by what the health service can do to reduce the factors that lead to interruption of the supply of oxygen rich blood to the brain
A podcast programme covering all the key risk factors is being developed based on the best scientific evidence and the risk factors and what to do to reduce them are summarised in the book Increase your Brainability; Reduce the Risk and Impact of Dementia
