Healthier UK

Traditionally improvement in health has been seen as the responsibility of the NHS and Government, both central and local, with the private sector playing a an important role also but what has been overlook has been the contribution that individuals themselves and communities, both informal local communities and more formal communities organised by what has been called the VCFSE sector - Voluntary, Charitable, Faith organisations and Social Enterprises. The College of Medicine and the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine brought together a number of key players to create www.HealthierUK.org. This will not be a new bureaucracy but a network
